I’ve written about Candyland before, so you’re aware that’s it’s a big hit among the 4-year-olds in our house. It’s probably a big hit among any 4-year-olds in your house. You likely know the “joy” of being caught in the molasses swamp while your 4-year-old marches past and wins. Or, even better, trying your hardest NOT to win while your 4-year-old gets more and more frustrated as she is stuck in the molasses swamp.
So, imagine playing Candyland in real life! Lombard Street in San Francisco, the twistiest street in the USA (I’ve walked on it, it’s bizarre), was converted into a real life Candyland board last week.
Kids with chronic illnesses from Children’s Hospital were set up as teams of players, and everyone got cake afterwards.
Article on it, and best picture of the slideshow
That’s one game I wouldn’t have minded being in on.
