My five year old is trying to figure out how jokes work:
Why did the fish cross the road?
To get to the sea.
It’s funny because fish can’t walk.

Awwww, how cute
I miss those days. It’s not as cute at eight – but that’s funny in it’s own way. My oldest still doesn’t really ‘get’ how jokes work. We’ve all but given up on trying to help him understand – I figure he’ll either get it on his own one day, or he won’t. Maybe his destiny is to be the straight guy in the comedic duo
