How sweet to be a cloud
Floating in the blue

This poem is from my all time favourite Pooh story, In Which We Are Introduced to Winnie-the-Pooh and Some Bees, and the Stories Begin.

I grew up with a British vinyl LP recording of Maurice Evans reading the stories. I played it so often that I memorized the voices he did and I can probably reproduce the stories to this day – the first one, plus the Heffalump, and Eeyore loses his tail.
I made my own recording of the stories in university (before my own kids arrived) and gave away cassettes to my family. Not sure I could find one of them now tho.
When I think of Winnie the Pooh, I never think of the Disney version – always the version from the scratchy record.
Both of those poems quoted above, are actually songs on the recording.
Disney has a version of Winnie-the-Pooh?????
I refuse to acknowledge it.;-)
